MAINTENANCE FREE RIDGE AND VERGE
Dry ridge and dry verge systems offer several key benefits over traditional mortar methods.
They require minimal maintenance because there is no mortar to crack, crumble, or fail over time. Ridge and verge tiles are mechanically fixed, making them far more resistant to wind uplift and severe weather. This improves overall roof safety and reduces the risk of tiles becoming loose.
Dry systems also provide built-in ventilation, helping to reduce condensation in the roof space and protect timbers, which can extend the roof’s lifespan.
Installation is faster and cleaner, as it does not rely on wet mortar and can be fitted in most weather conditions.
In addition, dry ridge and verge systems comply with modern UK Building Regulations (BS 5534), making them ideal for new builds and re-roofing projects. Aesthetically, they maintain a neat, consistent appearance without staining or cracking, ensuring the roof looks good for years with less upkeep.
